‘So You Think You Know Where You Are Going?’ was an exhibition and day of artist and curator conversation at Enys House in Penryn, Cornwall. Thank you to Cultivator Cornwall and Back Lane West for the invitation and for organising a great day, including contributions by Andrew Hunt, Manchester Metropolitan University, Holly Graham, Turf Projects and Fiona MacDonald : Feral Practice.

Thank you to Cultivator for two new awards to support six months mentoring with curator and producer Kelly Taylor and video editing with filmmaker Rachael Jones. Kelly Taylor has an established background in the production and curation of film works through her previous roles including Director of Gavin Brown’s Enterprise, New York, recent on location film producer for Tacita Dean, and currently, film programmer for CAST in Cornwall. Rachael Jones is a Lecturer on Documentary and Experimental Filmmaking and a PhD student at Falmouth University. Rachael’s recent commissions include Tracing Granite and Weaving Witches & Women of Penryn. This support from Cultivator is made possible by funding from the European Social Fund, Arts Council England and Cornwall Council.

New large scale photographs focusing on contemporary social groups set in the context of recent work and archive images. Thanks to Abigail Reynolds for hosting a one night show in her studio on Sunday 22 July of some of my new work. Showed prints from photographs taken on recent trip to New Zealand, focusing on family groupings and man-made objects in the landscape.
Co-curated Late at Tate at Tate St Ives on Friday 16 June with artist, Naomi Frears. The event featured dancer Kuldip Singh-Barmi, raconteur David Bramwell, performance artist Chloe Cooper and screenings from artists including Anna Lucas, Dan Scott and including my own new film ‘In and Out of Love’.
Thank you to Naomi Frears who curated last week’s sound show at Porthemor Studio with works by; Dan Scott, Josie Cockram, Oliver Sutherland and a new sound piece from me To Die By Your Side.
In and Out of Love was selected for, and had its first screening at Future Imperfect at Plymouth University in April. Organised by Allister Gall and Katy Richardson the seminar was a day of screenings, workshops, a presentation by Melanie Manchot and finale by the Imperfect Orchestra. imperfectcinema.com.
