Family Crinkles, Lobe Block, Berlin – Part 2

Installation in the main gallery space of Lobe Block, part of work in progress around the short story A Stone Woman by AS Byatt. Friends consciously taking on characters or becoming them through the camera.

Layers of experience – Victoria Robinson at the Lizard in the dress made by her mum Pam Robinson for our performance on the rocks – which became the film The next dawn, the next spring, with the dress shown alongside the fabric print. Tiffany as emerging stone woman on the Lizard coast and David Paton as the stone cutter.

I enjoyed creating formal tension and image manipulations through the folds of fabric and movements of air and visitors in the space. The swath of circling blue fabric is a work by Paetzug Hertweck, I loved the conversation our works had in the impressive main gallery.

Thank you Olivia Reynolds for giving these works their first sharing outside the studio.
