Tate St Ives

I have been covering the role of Learning Curator at Tate St Ives since May last year, which comes to an end next month. I have been resident in Pendeen, a small village in West Penwith, wild and windy with more than one good pub. During my time Sam Thorne was Artistic Director, now Director of Nottingham Contemporary, and I’ve worked with wonderful, knowledgeable people about all things Cornwall, although yet to hit the dance floor of the 3 Ferrets, and therefore perhaps cannot truly say I’ve been here. Highlights for me have been programming The Beehive – first version with Catherine Haines (image above from her project), second, about to launch with Katie Schwab, as well as working with many families and young people and just soaking up all that is idiosyncratic about St Ives and the seaside Tate.
